Roman Camp and Garth Pier offer great views of the mountains and sea, and are a short walk from campus. Weather permitting, I'm happy to lead a group work after lunch on Friday.

Walking over Menai Bridge to Anglesey also offers great views, and takes about 30/40 minutes  to walk from campus (there are also buses). Menai Bridge has lots of nice pubs, restaurants and shops as well.

Penrhyn Castle is a 40 minute walk, 30 minute bus or 7 minute taxi ride

• Belle Vue: Nearest pub to campus, frequented by students and staff alike.

• Y Glôb: Welsh pub

• Mike's Bites: Cheap, quick eats

• Creperie Cafe: Small creperie shop (On UberEats)

• Morrisons: Large supermarket with pharmacy

• domu: Best coffee in Bangor (imo), fantastic cakes and great vegetarian and vegan food. 

• GRK Spot: Very yummy Greek food - shortlisted for Best Takeaway in the UK (on UberEats)

• Blue Sky: Great beer selection with food (check hours), often with live music

• China Hot Chili: Excellent, authentic Szechuan cooking. Cash only. 

• Clio Lounge: Decent cocktails and food with music

• The Castle: Standard, late-night pub

• The Black Bull Inn: A Wetherspoon's with a nice outdoor area. Cheap food and drinks. 

• Bangor Tandoori: Indian food (on UberEats)
